    Satisfying Conversations

    And True Intimacy

In this video I describe why conversations do not feel fulfilling to me, and what what I have found that helps me move in the direction more satisfying and intimate communication… I am also wondering if other people are noticing this too, or anything similar. It would be nice to hear what you all do to make conversation more enjoyable. Living, learning, loving, sharing appreciation, and empathic listening is what does it for me.

    A Poem by BNG

    for Gayle

    broken wheels……..that you’ll never steal…..
    boulevards…..throw me down your cards…..
    second chances…….fleeting glances…..
high on hopes…. but no one copes….
    glaxony wine….  full of time….
    second seconds….  second guessing….
    beautiful bush…. krazy kush….
    g to me…… heaven can see….
    she unveils……that sacred sail….
    down in Texas…… this isn’t sexist…
    heart open wide…. let’s go inside….
    out of time……she’s one of a kind……

    A Poem by John Berry

Thank You John. May you soar with the Angels in eternity my Friend!

    For Gayle-

Sand between our toes, we see sun-fire bring dawn-light from the Gulf.

You taste salt sea breeze from life’s Mother redolent with fresh life-smell.

But you are essence as much as the four.

We hear the oak leaves whisper prophesies.

But only you hear the words of them, though I own my soul as much as you yours.

The Norther blows its purple-black sky-bruise, laced with lightning, spreading toward us.

The wheat-waves dance in time to the wind-chimes.

The Scots piper purs his second wind into his pipe-bag.

Another breath winds through a French horn, as a free breeze blows straight across Aeolian pipes, then rising wind moves limbs as well as leaves.

The hurricane blows rain straight level, mixed with paper, leaves, and food-scraps.

Then cyclones add walls and roofs, and cars.

As your breath voiced sweeps clear man’s trashing, it is not chance your name is Gale

  • You Bless the World

    You Bless the World

    When You Bless Yourself

    This is a song I wrote…

It was inspired by A Course in Miracles.

We sure could use one right about now.

    The Lyrics:

You bless the world because you bless your self.

Your gentle laughter is what heals the world.

The name of Love on your lips as you look within

The purity of heaven in reflection

It is only pure Love that is always blessing you

You are blessed because you bless the world

Love the pain, love the loss

Love the sickness, love the grief

    Love the poverty and starvation

Love death and recognize there is no sacrifice

You cannot lose your life by forgiving.

    Love the pain away

    Love the loss away

    Heal the poverty and starvations

Know death and recognize there is no sacrifice

You cannot lose your life by forgiving…

Finding a Good House Mate and Communicating Effectively

I believe in learning from your mistakes, and I’ve made plenty of them. Hoping to share what I’ve learned, so others don’t have to make the same mistakes too. Also in search of answers and ideas that will make life better and more joyful for everybody alive, including me, and hope some of you may have wisdom that you would like to share, too.

What’s bugging me today is living with people and how to find compatible house mates. I prefer living alone, but I’ve been getting old lately and need community. And I’m still too young and poor for assisted living or a nursing home. So I’ve been renting out bedroom on Air BnB. It has dawned on me that it isn’t easy to find a good house mate. So if any of you have any ideas, I’d like to know how you found one, and where! Thanks in advance!

  • Space Travel

    Space Travel

Done too Soon is not Wise nor Responsible

Nobody should be sending people to the moon nor anywhere else in space until we have cleaned up the messes we’ve made on this planet, learned how to get along with each other, ended all war, and there is a viable plan in place for how we will get all the spent rocket metal, fuel and other space debris out of the atmosphere so airplanes and birds won’t have to dodge that crap, it won’t fall on the earth, nor remain in orbit eternally polluting the sky.

The “buffalo hunter takes an expensive vacation pleasure trip” attitude is not the right attitude for flying to the moon and beyond. Something tells me the universe isn’t going to tolerate a “here today gone tomorrow, let those left behind deal with cleaning up the mess we’ve made” attitude if it starts venturing too far from humanities earthly play pen. When are we going to stop waving a red flag at the rest of the universe to beware of our existence? When are we going to stop killing extra terrestrial visitors and attempting to steal their technology?

It should be obvious to anybody who has ever experienced “download technology” or had ideas that seemed to have been placed into their brains telepathically, that using the information wisely and responsibly for the good of all is the only way to keep advancing. It’s spring. The birds are singing. “Wake up yourself!” Do you hear them? They know. They know. They know. Listen to them!

IMHO we should not allow them to spend another thin dime of our tax payer money for space travel until ALL the pollution has been cleaned up, energy is free, water is clean, the animals are thriving and healthy, the cruelty of factory farming has been eliminated, the earth has stopped trying to shake us off like a wet dog shaking off fleas, the trees have been allowed to grow tall again instead of being treated like crops, every single person on the planet has a comfortable safe home to live in, there is no more war, health care is universally available, and everybody knows the value and importance of empathy because they have experienced it.

  • Making American Great

    Making American Great

Let us never forget that millions of people in the USA voted for putting immigrants in concentration camps without due process, and helping Israel commit genocide in the middle east. They are now very happy that it’s happening and cheering it on. We live in a scary world.

Meanwhile, the fears that compelled them to vote for this, have mutated into a much bigger threat than before. We now have fewer jobs, higher prices, greater threat of war, a diminished sense of security, fewer government services, and much higher government expenses. We are spending more money on war and less on health care. Women’s rights have been set back fifty years. The chance of dying if you get pregnant is higher. Women are bleeding out in hospital parking lots because doctors are afraid of losing their license to practice medicine for treating a miscarriage.

Freedom of speech is being suppressed. 2A is being threatened. Journalists are getting arrested. NSA computers are scanning every word we type into our computers and flagging our e-mails if we disagree with the current administration. Protestors are being murdered in the streets. Immigrants are getting raped, going hungry, and dying from lack of medical care in concentration camps. How is this making American great?

When has America ever really been great? This country was built on ground that was stolen from the indigenous people by genocide. Enslaved people, who were stolen and trafficked from Africa, were used to build this country. They were treated like animals, beaten and killed. People are now being hunted and sent to concentration camps because of their skin color and the language they speak. What is great about any of that? Old wealth is rooted in this evil.

The American dream may have been great. The idea may have been divinely inspired. But the country itself has always fallen short. Much of the hatred is being generated and perpetrated because the constitution guarantees and protects freedom of religion. Because conservative religious leadership uses scripture to justify, excuse and defend evil. Child abuse (spare the rod spoil the child), misogyny (women are supposed to obey men), racism (if you aren’t one of god’s chosen people), ethnic cleansing and genocide (if god brings you to land and gives you over to them, you must completely destroy them) are cruel ideas masquerading as good, misinterpreted as God’s will. They are man’s interpretations replacing Love’s intention.

The only truly great thing about this country is our constitutional duty to form a more perfect union. And in order to do so we must condemn religious hatred and terrorism. We must refuse to acknowledge that any organization is a religion unless it preaches only love, acceptance, and equality. Should we choose to tolerate the continuation of human suffering, trafficking, misogyny, genital mutilation, sexual assault, and racism in the name of religious freedom, this country will never be great.
